BLTA & Tomato Basil Soup @ Carmel Cafe

Unique and tasty. I felt like I was talking about the concept of ordering at the table from an iPad with someone just a few months ago and wondered why nobody had done it yet. Great job Carmel!

Now to the food. I like to think that I attract deliciousness and behold, we ordered and a different half a sandwich came out then what I ordered and the manager was 30 seconds behind the waitress with my full BLTA sandwich. So we got to try the regular BLTA and a Roasted Turkey Club- bacon, local organic mixed greens, tomato, avocado, basil aioli, whole wheat. Each was great!

I do not quite understand why I order Tomato soup anywhere, I am never really into it and I always feel like I am kind of drinking pasta sauce. This is not a bash on the soup I ordered at all, it actually had a little spice to it which I loved, but the reality is I just don’t care for tomato soup that much.

Both sandwiches we very tasty, avocado is always great, but the basil aiolo really gave it the extra umph of awesomeness. The BLTA, o boy, the mozzarella was an amazing switcharoo on the everyday BLT. Mix that with the basil aiolo and you really have a combo of flavors that leave you wanting more.

Thanks Carmel Cafe!

BLTA- bacon, local organic mixed greens, tomato, avocado, fresh mozzarella, basil aioli, whole wheat & Tomato Basil Soup- $9.99

I dig the style and flavors they came up with, and anything with avocado tends to get a higher rating from me, let give them a 9.1
