Carmine’s represents the roots of Tampa in a great way. They serve Cuban and Italian and do both cuisines very well.
On this visit I went Italian and ordered the Italian Sausage with Marinara Sauce. There are several different pastas available. I selected spaghetti. The Italian sausage is the old school Italian sausage. The kind that my Abuelo (grandfather) used to bring home from the butcher wrapped in paper. The sausage is grilled nicely – notice the grill marks. The marinara sauce is one of my favorites. You can put that sauce on anything and it’s going to be good.
A little sausage, pasta with sauce in every bite is the way to go.
