One of my friends told me Dockside Dave’s has the best grouper sandwich in the Tampa Bay area. I was on Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach and had to check it out for myself. I can say without hesitation that it was the best grouper sandwich I have ever had. No contest. It was phenomenal. 
The place screams local joint. Very casual beachy atmosphere and super friendly staff. The Black Grouper Sandwich is available six different ways. I asked the bartender for her suggestion. She didn’t hesitate and suggested the Blackened Black Grouper Sandwich. I hate when you order something blackened and it comes out with what looks like a layer of wet spices smeared on top.
Dockside Dave’s obviously knows what they’re doing. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. A little pricey at $14.50 with the Waffle Fries but worth every penny. A cold Budweiser draft made for a great partner. I can’t wait to go back and try one of the other Black Grouper Sandwich options..
