Amazing. That is the only proper way to begin describing Renzo’s Argentinian Steakhouse. We have gone here twice, the first time was cuz we saw they had great ratings on urbanspoon and we had never heard about it before.
This is one of Tampa’s diamonds in the rough. Obviously there are plenty of fancy steak places around that you can go spend well over $100 for two people at, BUT! In all honesty if I had the choice of going to Bern’s, Charlie’s, or even one of the Brazilian steak places Renzo’s would be my first choice.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Food amazing, staff mind readers, price so inexpensive it doesn’t make sense.
Starter: Trio de Empanada- Chicken, Beef & Cheese, and Spinach- I like all of them, definitely my favorite empanadas around. Amanda really digs the Chicken.
Entre: Renzo Parilla- Crazy awesome, 7 different kinds of meat! 3 different cuts of steak, 1 chicken, 1 sausage, 1 pork chop, and a fantastic short rib. Additionally 2 huge sides. We like the fried plantains and yucca fries.
Desert: House Special- Alfajores de Maizena- No idea what it is, but it is #@^*$% amazing.
All of this, which filled up two people and left two small meals for lunch the next day, 4 beers, for only $58.
Check Renzo’s out for yourself and let us you know thoughts.
